FLIR has done it again they have added more great features to their K-Series Thermal Imaging Cameras with the new K55 Thermal Imaging Camera. The K55 has a great new feature called FSX™ Flexible Scene Enhancement that enhances thermal images through real-time digital processing inside the camera. The result is an ultra sharp image that shows extraordinary structural, edge and other instantly recognizable detail. This helps make it much easier for firefighters and rescue teams find their way through the smokiest, darkest environments, and to instantly identify targets in scenes with extreme temperature dynamics.
Also new for the K55 Thermal Imaging Camera is the In-Camera Video Storage. So not only can the K55 save hundreds of still images like previous versions now it can record and store up to 600 minutes of video, in clips of 5 minutes (maximum) each. These videos can be useful for later analysis and are ideal for training purposes. These videos can be reviewed directly from the in-camera archive or downloaded to your computer via USB.
The Thermal Imaging Camera is a vital tool when you are in the heat of battle it helps you quickly visualize your plan of attack, locate hot spots and save lives. Ideally every engine and truck company should have at least one high performance Thermal Imaging Camera on hand. With the FLIR K-Series that has become more feasible.
